"And now that this episode has come up, I decided to install a CAKE update three days ago and then my anti-virus software detected a key logger which (I believe) was installed on that specific update. I quarantined and erased the key logger and then I couldn't run CAKE client when I clicked on the CAKE icon on my desktop. Scary stuff if you ask me..."

The advantage you have with VM is that anytime you receive the prompt that the poker site has an update, you can stop the update (or not click OK), revert back to the snapshot for VM you created that has no 3rd party apps installed (PT,HEM, bot, anything...) allow the poker site update to occur, and monitor your Snoopfree and Antivirus programs for at least a few hours of playing before reinstalling the 3rd party apps again. Unfortunately, we're probably all going to have to get used to taking these kind of precautions.
VM is just one way to reduce risk, but you have to make sure you take the step of having a VERY clean snapshot with only the poker site software installed as your base image. Just using VM isn't enough. You have to take advantage of why you have a virtual machine."

ja mam aktualnie dwie - jedna z oslem ze zlotym medalem na szyi i obok 3puchary, a pod tym logo i druga z bialym pieskiem z chustka w pysku z logiem ftp
